Chris Hocking Aka “Big Chris” is a UK R&B Singer / Songwriter. His music is influenced heavily by American Neo-Soul and R&B. When he was younger his father purchased him a piano and enrolled him in music lessons. This was a wise move and music soon became one of Chris’s strongest subjects.

Chris draws on influences from artists such as Marvin Gaye, J Holiday, Joe and Ne-Yo to name a few. He was also influenced by Hip Hop music and how well both genres were put together production wise, notably the works of Dr Dre and his idol R.Kelly.

Chris decided to take this US born style and put a UK perspective on it; he takes his life experiences and put them into tracks with an aim to inspire others. Whether he is writing for himself or others, he believes in articulating himself and portraying real life as much as he can through his music.
